Canadian-flag carrier Air Canada has announced the resumption of its seasonal service from Mumbai to Toronto, now operating via London Heathrow, starting October 29 and will remain operational till March 26, 2023. Mumbai is the airline’s second destination after Delhi in the strategically important Indian market. The new route is subject to receiving final government approvals.

Sharing his views on the development, Virgilio Russi, Vice President – International Sales, Air Canada, said, “We are extremely pleased to announce the return of our service between Mumbai and Toronto via London Heathrow. Our flights will not only provide our customers from India with access to Toronto, but also a direct link to London Heathrow, enabling convenient one-stop connections to destinations across Canada with Air Canada, including Montreal, Calgary, and Vancouver, as well as the United States, including Denver, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco, Washington and Boston with our Star Alliance partner, United Airlines.”

The planned service between Mumbai and Toronto via London-Heathrow will be operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft featuring three cabins of service for flyers to choose from, including lie-flat seats in Signature Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class.

Air Canada currently operates daily direct flights between Delhi and Toronto. It also operates three-weekly flights between Delhi and Montreal. The airline is also going to increase the frequency of flights between Delhi and Vancouver to three-weekly flights starting October 1. The return flight on this route includes a technical stop in Dublin for operational purposes.

Air Canada provides scheduled passenger service directly to 51 airports in Canada, 51 in the United States, and 86 internationally.
